First entry/Four weeks left

This is my blog. Everything about my experiencens before and in Taiwan will be written down here Mondays and Fridays.

Wow only four weeks left until I will fly to Taiwan and start a new chapter, only 29 days left in germany.

Planning takes over.

What am I going to take with me? A backpack or a big suitcase, what is more useful? Laptop, iPad, how much clothes? What will I need in Taiwan? Decisions I have to make and with every decision I make I get farther away from Germany. This is going to be great!

How am I?

I am very exited how everything will change. What will happen within the five months? Which good and bad experiences am I going to make?
Other People and another culture. New living circumstances. Abroad, not at home. A bit of fear mixed with happyness and exitement, curiosity.

All in all I am looking forward with a thrill of anticipation.

Blogging is about...

Sun Moon Lake Sunrise Hey and hello! I arrived in Germany about two months ago and had a lot of work and organisation to do. But by now I have enough spare time to share all the stories and pictures from the last three months. For me blogging is something like a diary. Moreover it is a way to share my thoughts and moments with you and anyone who wants to read them, I like the freedom of doing this and I really want to catch up writing again. I will try to give an update every week. A few photos and a relating story. Furthermore the stories will have certain labels, where you can find them. Additional there will be other labels for different locations. Example: "story, Asia" or "story, Germany". I hope you are looking forward to this project with the same thrill of anticipation as I do. See you next week! Lukas

About my last days in Asia

The last part of my journey through Asia Penang Again. The sticky and humid air surrounds me and gives me the feeling of being back “home” in Taiwan. But yet different, because now I am in Penang, where I never would have been without a friend of mine, Micha. He went there for one year and told me some nice stories about the people, food and especially the church he worked in. He made me so curious that I booked the flight from Tokyo.  You may ask yourself why I decided to fly such a complicated route. Geographically it makes no sense, but this route is simply the cheapest one. So I landed in Penang and took a bus to Georgetown, the world heritage part of Penang. One difference I recognized immediately was that this country is a Muslim country. The women were wearing headscarves and it was the first time I saw mosques in Asia. On my first day I explored Georgetown and all the beautiful old buildings. The hostel I stayed in was close to a district called “Little ...

Why a day in Manila will change you. #story

It feels very weird to start writing again. I had an amazing time and met dozens of people. Sharing all these wonderful and terrifying moments is a pleasure for me.  So, I guess this blog is not finished by now. I guess it will not finish at all because I like writing and keeping my English on a good level. I love sharing experiences and stories. This is not only for you, but for me as well. When I am writing I reflect and remember everything, I hear the waves and feel the sand slowly floating away below my feet. I can escape Germany for a few moments and get back into this time meet the people again and relive the certain feelings that I had. The future and meaning of this blog is taking you with me into this wide world and see what I saw. My intention is giving you a moment of silence, escape and distraction in a business world, which is mostly controlled by money and effort and not by feelings and emotions. Enjoy :) Manila: I left the rai...
